Kiddom believes that all Virginian students can become powerful users of mathematics to better understand and positively impact the world—in their careers, in college, and in civic life.
Kiddom Virginia Math is based on the IM® curriculum, which incorporates problem-based learning that is discourse-oriented and connects learning through the lens of “real world” examples. Students are encouraged to develop skills in persevering in problem-solving, explaining their thinking, and constructing arguments to become powerful users of mathematics.
This high-quality math curriculum includes Virginia's modeling math tasks and was developed in alignment with the Rich Mathematical Task Rubric to facilitate understanding and comprehension of mathematical concepts.
